This evening the host introduces the return of one of the true highlights of the 2018-19 season, as The Metropolitan Opera, New York presents Giuseppe Verdi’s opera in three acts, La traviata.

Soprano Aleksandra Kurzak leads the cast in the role of tragic heroine Violetta, with tenor Dmytro Popov cast as her ardent lover Alfredo. Karel Mark Chichon conducts the truly timeless score.
