TO DO THIS WEEK

1 Make sure you have shredded the old Christmas tree, recycling is a handy way of dealing with this.

2 As weather gets colder, make sure your garden birds are being well- fed and have plenty of fresh water.

3 Wrap and insulate around outdoor taps to prevent cold weather causing severe damage.

4 Check tree ties are not too tight and are properly attached to stakes. 5 Hardwood cuttings of roses, forsythia, cornus and willows can be taken now.
