Catherine Fulvio Versatile veggies!
We have always had a vegetable garden here at the school and it serves us so well. A successful veg patch is about planning for the next season and I like to ask the cookery school tutors for input as well on what they need in the classes, and we work from there. There are a few vegetables that I always grow: courgette, lettuce, beetroot, chard, red chillies, scallions and red onions. It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to harvest your own food and when I’m not doing that, my favourite part is to just sit in the garden, enjoying a cuppa in the tranquillity beside the ourishing beetroot and lettuces!
