It may have been absent last year due to obvious reasons, but nally the Netherlands are getting their chance to host the glitz and the glamour of the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday.
As always, the hosts and the Big Five – France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK – are automatically in the nal line-up, which means there are still 20 slots to ll across two semi- nals – with the rst taking place this evening.
This is a chance for Ireland’s Lesley Roy to shine with her track Maps, while Marty Whelan provides commentary live from the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam.
The second semi- nal will air on Thursday, also on RTÉ 2 at 8.00pm.
