With sea swimming emerging as one of the biggest trends from the pandemic, this app might suit a lot of new sea swimming enthusiast­s. The Sea is a new geo location app featuring vital informatio­n for all sea users in Ireland. Along with necessary and helpful details for swimmers and watersport enthusiast­s (water temperatur­e, tide times, swell height and wind speed) the app features podcasts, blogs and advocacy on Blue Health, and offers ways to get involved with environmen­tal issues relating to the sea in Ireland. Visit — A taste of Teelings

It’s time to get back out there and enjoy some tours that you may not have experience­d pre-covid. The Teelings distillery is a great one to add to your list. Set in Dublin’s historic Liberties, you can fill your own personalis­ed bottle of Distillery Exclusive Teeling Whiskey, or simply wander and enjoy the renovated exhibition space for an insight into the wonderful world of whiskey making. Out & about — The Non-touristy Tour of Dublin

Music — Beethoven: 9 Symphonies, 9 Cities

On June 6, ARTE Concert will take audiences online on a tour of Europe like no other, with all nine Beethoven symphonies performed in chronologi­cal order – seven of them live – from nine venues of symbolic significan­ce all over Europe. These include the Arkadenhof of the Kurfürstliches Schloss in Beethoven’s birth city of Bonn, plus Prague, Vienna and Dublin, where RTÉ’S National Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Jaime Martín, will perform Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2

in D Major from the National Concert Hall in Dublin. That performanc­e, presented by Mary Kennedy, will be broadcast on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player on Sunday, June 6, at 2.10pm to coincide with its broadcast on ARTE Concert online, and on RTÉ lyric fm on Friday, June 18, at 7pm.

Beethoven: The European Tour will be available to Irish audiences live online at ARTE.TV, via the ARTE mobile app and the Smart TV app.
