There’s trouble over at Vino’s. After Orla asks Paul to look at the accounts, the oven packs in. Then, when Orla goes to purchase a new one, the restaurant’s credit card is declined, and she has to use her own hard-earned money. Orla reassures Paul they will deal with the nancial problems together, but she doesn’t initially realise how serious they are. Later, she suggests borrowing money against Paul’s house to save the restaurant, but he dismisses the idea, even though he feels uneasy at being indebted to her. When Paul discovers the extent of Orla’s windfall from Wayne, he asks her to invest some of the cash in Vino’s. However, Orla’s nancial adviser Christine Kehoe is not convinced and cautions her client against it, leaving Paul broke and devastated. Bob has money on his mind as well, as he starts a money collection for Louis. Carol thinks Louis is out of order and tries to guilt him into admitting the truth about his made-up ailments. Louis realises he needs an ally and asks Anna to lie for him. She shows some understanding for his predicament but then, just as it appears he will nally come clean to Bob and Renee about everything, he bottles it again. He does tell Carol the truth though, and when he does, she immediately tells him to pack his bags and get out. Humiliated, he spends the night in the community centre, before sneaking out unseen and preparing to leave Carrigstown. But will he confess his lie to Bob and Renee before departing? One resident who is an apologetic mood this week is Zak. However, Sash has little time for him. She is unable to make contact with Eileen in Spain ahead of a looming meeting with Brian the council inspector. Olwen comes up with a solution to Sash’s problems – she is prepared to moonlight as Eileen Bishop. Tommy, who is also worried about a possible eviction, gets on board with the identity-switcheroo scheme. Ahead of the meeting with Brian, Sash’s nerves are shredded, with Tommy convinced Olwen’s elaborate plan will fail. But Olwen plays a blinder, thinking quickly and out of the box to cover Sash’s mistake. Just when Sash and Tommy think they have got away with it, there’s a sting in the tail, with Brian getting the feeling that something isn’t quite right.
