Mon, Tue, Wed & Thur / RTÉ One & BBC One Dark day for Gray

-

The net is finally closing in on – he’s supposed to be at the hospital with Chelsea, preparing to bring Jordan home, but instead he has to go to the police station to answer a few questions about Tina.

As a lawyer, he quickly realises the police don’t have any evidence and he can just leave. He also initially manages to avoid a grilling from the Carters by pretending to be devastated by the news about Tina and vowing to help them in any way he can.

However, Whitney is less easy to deter – when she learns that the body has been found, she quickly deduces that Gray killed Tina, and shares her theory with Mick and Shirley. The landlord has his doubts, but for Shirley, everything suddenly falls into place.

Realising the truth is about to come out, Gray phones Chelsea at the hospital to tell her they’ll be going away for a while, but she is understandably suspicious, not least because she can hear Shirley trying to break the door down in the background.

Meanwhile, Kheerat returns to the Square for the Panesars’ meeting with Ranveer, but insists to Whitney that as a wanted man, he can’t hang around to protect Chelsea. But just as he’s about to leave, he spots an exchange between Gray and Denise that sends him rushing to the hospital to deliver a warning. Chelsea returns to the Square, determined to confront her abusive husband, only to find herself in danger when he struggles to contain his rage. Whitney also wants her own showdown with Gray, and it seems the only person still on his side is Karen, who is desperate to believe the best of her former sonin-law. Mitch has always had his doubts, and when new revelations suggest that Gray murdered Chantelle, he tries to make Karen see sense.

So, as the police descend on the Square, how far will Gray go to avoid justice? And should he be less worried about the cops and more concerned that one of his growing number of enemies may take the law into their own hands?

On a lighter note, Rocky decides to move out of the Vic to give the grieving Carters some space, and sets about finding a job and a new place to live. His first day at the funeral parlour is not a roaring success, but will he have more joy at the car lot?
