Faking it until making it

-

Can a leopard really change its spots? Tommy doesn’t seem to think so, and when Zak receives a package through the post, Tommy automatically assumes his wheeler-dealer son is up to no good again. He thinks it’s all his fault for not being a good dad, while Zak is upset to discover how far he has gone down in his old man’s estimation. As it happens, the ‘suspicious’ package was just gardening gloves, and the pair make up. In fact, Zak even decides to pay Tommy’s medical bill. However, later in the week, Zak discovers that his dad still doesn’t trust him and decides to step up his illegal activity.

He strikes a deal with Juliet to promote his stock online and ogs her a handbag. But she soon realises it’s a knock-o and threatens to inform the guards unless Zak furnishes her with the genuine designer article.

Zak has an even bigger problem on his hands – what is he going to do with the full shipment of fakes he has in stock?

Hughie is suspicious too and, after quizzing Zak about his stolen scooter, wonders if he was behind the robbery at the Hungry Pig. Will Tommy step in and defend his son or let him get his comeuppance?

Elsewhere this week, Dolores is unimpressed by Anto’s cheap shot towards Pete, and Sharon is worried that the feud will re ect badly on her. Doug comes up with of a way to get Anto and Pete to spend time together. Although the day doesn’t go to plan at rst, Sharon is eventually pleased to see the pair getting along. Nevertheless, Pete soon annoys other Carrigstown residents, and after he scuppers Jon’s plans to use the community centre for band practice, Anto and Pete lock horns again.

And while all this is going on, Anto fails to notice Jon’s attraction to Hayley.

Dolores also has other things on her mind during the latter part of the week – she is unsure about Wayne wanting to give her power of attorney over the garage.

Plus, the drama over the sale of Mark’s house continues. After refusing Joan’s o er, Damien asks Bronagh if she would consider making a purchase. Joan decides to dig a little deeper into the decision and asks Dearbhla some awkward questions about Damien.

Finally, Seán tells Leo he fears Dean isn’t coping as well as he’s letting on since the shooting. Eventually, Dean opens up a little to Anna and is asked to lead a kids’ boxing class – but will he be able to keep his temper?
