Coronation Street Paul’s toughest decision

Paul’s health is failing, and he can’t stand the thought of becoming a hostage inside his own body. He asks Todd to help him end his life before it gets to that stage, but he refuses. Todd does, however, take his friend to the surgery, where Paul begs Dr Gaddas to give him morphine to ease his pain; he’s distraught when she turns his request down.

A sympatheti­c Abi overhears the pair discussing the situation, and heads o to score some drugs from Dean on Paul’s behalf – little realising that somebody is photograph­ing their every move… Todd, meanwhile, becomes the object of Paul and Billy’s attempts at matchmakin­g. They’ve noticed a spark between him and Paul’s carer Moses so, with Summer’s help, decide to set them up by organising a dinner at the at.

Elsewhere, Evelyn becomes convinced that Terry runs a puppy farm. She follows him in an attempt to gain evidence, but he gets wise to the situation. The pensioner is unbowed and does a little digging on the internet, enabling Cassie to uncover the villain’s address. She breaks in and begins liberating the puppies she nds there, while helping herself to a wad of cash. But when Terry is seriously assaulted, it’s Evelyn who gets the blame.

Later, Hope discovers Cassie’s stash of money. Her gran o ers the youngster a slice of it if she promises to keep her mouth shut, but can Hope really be trusted?

Dev is in a celebrator­y mood – he wants to organise a birthday meal for the twins. Asha isn’t keen, but thinks Aadi’s idea of an after party at his at is a good one. Unfortunat­ely, everything goes wrong. For a start, despite having a crush on Amy, he ends up kissing Nina, and then when Asha nds out, she declares she wants nothing more to do with him. But there’s worse to come when he’s overcome by carbon-monoxide fumes.

After handing Ed some cash to take care of the bar renovation, Damon learns all about the builder’s gambling addiction, and worries he may never see his money again. Damon is also feeling harassed by Harvey’s non-stop calls and is horri ed on realising that Sarah has overheard their heated conversati­on.

Social worker Caitlin tells Chesney and Gemma that things are moving in the right direction, while Bobby gets on the wrong side of Carla by distractin­g the machinists.
