Damon doesn’t hesitate to profit from the proceeds of crime

-

Sean is searching for a flat, and Bobby thinks the ideal place is staring him right in the face: Lauren’s now empty property. When Sean then reveals he spotted what looked like blood stains on the curtains, Carla and Bobby head to the police station to report it.

Suddenly the force leaps into action, with Roy becoming a suspect thanks to his efforts to clean up after whoever left the place in a mess. Later, Max figures out that Daniel wasn’t always where he claimed to be and tells investigating officer DS Swain about the tutor’s supposedly professional relationship with Lauren, as well as his past with Summer and Nicky Wheatle.

Realising he’s under suspicion, a worried Daniel asks for a solicitor. But it’s Roy who has the real reason to be concerned – the police come calling again and he’s eventually arrested, with coverage of the incident posted online.

Eileen, meanwhile, softens a little towards Sean and Dylan, and says there’s no rush for them to find a new place to live after all. Dylan also pleases his dad by announcing he wants nothing more to do with the villainous Mason, who is heading for a spell in a detention centre after being charged with threatening with a bladed article in a public space.

Simon is in trouble with the law too, but is determined to take whatever punishment the magistrate throws at him, claiming he’s sure to deserve it. While Nick refuses to attend the hearing, Sam writes a character reference for him. Nick’s behaviour upsets Leanne, who has her head turned by the charming Rowan while attending a seminar at The Institute. Eliza discovers the truth about the money Stu paid Dom to stay away from her. It threatens to drive a rift between the pair, with Eliza claiming she wants to live in Germany with her father. Realising the terrible mistake he’s made, Stu tries to find a compromise.

Elsewhere, Damon blackmails Harvey into giving him a cut of the profits from his latest job so that he can buy Sarah the house of her dreams, Tracy hopes that Amy and Tommy can find some common ground during lunch at the bistro, and Linda makes Chesney an offer he can hardly refuse – she will pay for Joseph’s education at Oakhill. Unfortunately, the gesture goes down like a lead balloon with Gemma.
