Love triangles

Jess is being urged by her family to take it easy this week, although she’s certainly not going to cut herself a break in her feelings of guilt over Steo. Babs guesses that something’s up with Jess from her dour attitude, but Jess tries to play it cool. However, when Greg is called in to work, Jess agrees to take Steo to an art gallery – only to start feeling jealous when he discusses what he wants from a family for himself.

Meanwhile, Kira has her own reasons for feeling guilty, as Victor starts to lay down some ground rules about their affair, – before arranging to meet later that night. Victor then ghosts Kira, leaving her feeling upset – but, as she settles in for a quiet night with Mondo instead, her anger at Victor gives way to mere guilt at her deception.

It’s hard not to come to the obvious conclusion: that infidelity is just more trouble than it’s worth for all concerned. But then, that would make Carrigstown, not to mention Albert Square and all the other postcodes that make up Soapland, very dull places to visit.

Despite that, Kira is starting to give the straight-and-narrow some serious consideration, especially when Victor is entirely indifferent to her annoyance at being stood up. Instead of worrying about Victor, she’s going to pour all her e orts into reigniting the spark with Mondo.

Jess, however, is decidedly more torn. She’s panicked when she realises Greg might know something, and by Tuesday he’s disappeared o the radar. Jess has a decision to make, clearly, and before the week is out, she’s faced with an ultimatum – but she’s reluctant to play by anyone’s rules but her own.

Aside from the romantic subterfuge, there’s plenty more going on this week as Liam sets about exposing Rafferty, his focus this time being on dodgy raffe in which Doug and Erica won a at. Could Rafferty rig a raffe and, if so, will Liam be able to accuse him of such a tongue-twister without slipping up?

Anto is taken aback when Sharon tells him to stop meddling with the neighbours’ lives, but reluctantly goes to tell Gwen that he’s sorry if he overstepped the mark. A er all, as Sharon keeps reminding him, his living there is only temporary.
