TRIED + TESTED

-

As a fan of the gym, I was interested in trying out F45 when they approached me to take part in a two-week trial at their facility in Castleknock, Dublin. Having heard a lot about the chain that began in Australia in 2013, and being one of the fastest growing tness franchise networks in the world, I was keen to see what all the fuss was about. They o er programmes promising functional movement training. The main plus of F45 is that it’s very well organised. Every F45 gym around the world does the same thing, using the same equipment, with the same explainer screens on the wall. Many gyms are almost entirely individual, with their own programming or following another established gym’s programming. As with any gym, the atmosphere of the place depends largely on the owners and trainers: how engaged they are, how knowledgeable they are, how active they are in helping people perform better. Phil and his team in Castleknock were excellent. They create a real community feel and after just a short while, I could tell that people were getting results in a supportive and positive atmosphere, while being encouraged to push themselves. They o er a wide variety of classes throughout the day; from weights-based to high intensity cardio. The F45 45-Day Challenge is tailored to suit any goal and is comprised of bespoke food plans and a recommended exercise plan. You also have access to an online portal of resources including menu plans and a personalised dashboard to track your results. F45 is a great way to stay t, stay motivated, never get bored and maybe meet a few friends along the way.
