every week the host has indulged us with some of the finest classical concerts from around the world, featuring outstanding singers, musicians and composers who are on top of their game.

it’s no surprise that Liz’s Christmas day special should do the same, with this afternoon’s instalment featuring a recording of the romanian radio Children’s Chorus performing carols, Sweden’s Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra offering festive arrangements, two great choral works performed in Frankfurt by george Frideric Handel and Johann Christian Bach, as well as festive Hungarian jazz.
