In Frank Berry’s superb second feature, Dafhyd Flynn is an unassuming young Dubliner looking after his grandfather (Lalor Roddy, excellent) whose life changes forever when a friend of his older brother asks him to mind a bag filled with drugs; a bag he is keeping in his bedroom when the Guards come knocking on his door. Michael Inside is the powerful story of what can happen to any young person who enters the prison system as a result of one bad decision.
