Corrie’s Sally chats about her courtroom drama and marriage issues

ings aren’t going well for Nick these days, as Leanne is still angry at him and is refusing to give him a chance to explain about his secret marriage. Now that Carla has nothing to blackmail him with, he tells her that their deal is o and he’s keeping his share of the factory. However, poor Nick encounters more trouble when Elsa shows up and declares that he defrauded her for £40,000 in order to buy into the factory. Later, Elsa gets a business propositio­n from Carla who suggests that, because she owns Nick’s share of Underworld, they should go into business together. Elsewhere, Tim visits Sally in prison but can’t bear to give her the bad news that they are struggling to nd a character witness from the council. Worse still, Gina nds out that the judge Sally insulted is the one overseeing her case. On the rst day of her trial, Sally is distraught as Duncan paints himself as an innocent victim who Sally manipulate­d into defrauding the council. (see interview page 36).

Back in prison, Sally is surprised to nd out that her new cellmate is none other than Abi, who comes up with an extreme plan to disrupt the trial, one that puts Sally in hospital. Meanwhile, Emma and Chesney go out for drinks together, only for Gemma to invite herself along on the date. Chesney is delighted by this – until Gemma reveals Spike will be joining them.
