Thursday Tidings at the Mustard Seed

The award-winning Mustard Seed at Ballingarry in Co Limerick is the perfect spot for some pre- Christmas celebration. The magnificent Victorian country house revels in the festive season, with its antique mantelpieces adorned with beautiful garlands and a magnificent Christmas tree creating an idyllic ambience. On Thursdays in December (6, 13 & 20), guests who book the Thursday Tidings package can enjoy a glass of bubbles with canapés beside a blazing fire in the library or relax in the conservatory with classic Christmas music performed by the resident pianist. Dinner is prepared by head chef Angel Pirev and his team, featuring a range of local specialities such as smoked eel, free-range guinea fowl, Ballinwillin farm lamb and Pat Barry fillet of beef. Relax afterwards in one of the hotel’s many cosy nooks before bedtime and a Georgina Campbell accredited breakfast to look forward to the following morning.
