Tempers are aring in Carrigstown this week, as the stress of Junior’s condition has a worried Orla at Wayne’s throat. Dolores leaps to his defence, claiming that Orla cares more for her PR business than about Junior. Wayne then takes Dolores with him to the hospital, where Doctor Alice has some unfortunate news – poor Junior has a rare genetic condition known as Fanconi anaemia, which a ects bone marrow. Wayne has the unenviable task of telling Orla, who is understandably distraught.

Later, Wayne reluctantly asks Tommy for help as Junior’s treatment begins and the Molloys look for a bone marrow donor for Junior. Tommy, Junior’s biological dad, is oored when he hears the news, and promises that he will do all that he can to help. is doesn’t do much to ease Wayne’s nerves, however, and he nds it hard to be optimistic. Soon however, Dolores tries to persuade Wayne to reveal just how serious Junior’s illness is to Orla, who has an overly optimistic view of Junior’s prognosis. ings don’t go as planned when he tries to be realistic with Orla, as he doesn’t quite manage to hammer home the seriousness of Junior’s illness. Tommy resolves to spend as much time with Junior while he still has a chance, and Orla is not best pleased with his negative outlook. ere is a further blow for the stressed-out mother when she learns that a donor might not be the cure that she was hoping for.

Wayne isn’t faring any better, as he feels the need to protect Orla. He tries to remain happy in an e ort to keep her hopes up, but Dolores sees through him. Tommy doesn’t help matters when he pays a visit to Junior. With all this pressure and bad news, will Wayne and Orla’s relationship survive its toughest test yet?

ings aren’t looking much better elsewhere, as Carol resolves to leave before she and Robbie hurt anyone. She tells Nora as much, who then informs a pleased Hayley. Her happiness is not to last, as her parents take advantage of Robbie, and she is further peeved when Sharon mentions babies. Robbie remains oblivious to Hayley’s sour mood and she snaps and tells Robbie about Carol’s imminent departure. Meanwhile, Will and Cristiano try to gure out what has been bothering Will’s daughter, Phoebe. When Will confronts her, she tells him that she is being bullied because Will is gay. Cristiano assures Will that his daughter can stick up for herself, but it’s not long before the bullying begins again. Aaron White, in an ill-advised attempt to woo Phoebe, makes fun of Will, and his attempt to apologise when he discovers that Will is her father falls on deaf ears. Will tries to cheer Phoebe up by spending time with her, but when he cancels plans with Cristiano to do so, the latter is not pleased.
