It has been a remarkable year for progress, and this year also happens to mark 100 years since some women rst secured the vote in Ireland.
This one-o special from The Big Picture team examines the change in the wind as of late, looking at everything from the global #metoo movement that shook the worlds of entertainment and business to their cores, issues surrounding gender pay gaps, and the landmark passing of the abortion referendum.
They also examine the steps that still need to be taken when it comes to bridging the gender equality gap, as presenter Miriam O’Callaghan hosts a very special live studio discussion to address the big issues.
