Miracle on 34th Street (1947) 3.10pm Channel 4

Richard Attenborough did a good job with the remake, but this is the masterly original, with Edmund Gwenn perfectly cast as Father Christmas (or is he?), with Maureen O’Hara and young Natalie Wood is support.
