CASTLECONNOR

-

CASTLECONNOR GAA: A Sligo team, which featured our own Thomas Langan as a second half substitute, were fully deserving winners in the Connacht Minor semi-final against Mayo on Sunday, December 20 to set up a Connacht final against Roscommon. That final was due to be played in January but instead was brought forward to December 26 and played in horrendous conditions in Bekan with Roscommon unfortunately running out victors on a scoreline of 1-5 to 1-2. Well done to the team on getting so close but the wait goes on for another year for the Sligo minorsAll-Ireland Football Final

CHRISTMAS TREE SELFIE CHRISTMAS CHARITY EVENT: Each year Castleconnor GAA has held a charity match at Christmas but with Covid restrictions this year it was not possible. Instead, we are asking all our friends and members to please support a wonderful idea the Barrett family have instigated in aid of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. Take a selfie of your family posing at your Christmas tree and share on Facebook, invite your friends and make a donation at the GoFundMe page. Tag Castleconnor GAA and we will share or if you prefer email your photo to us at Pro.castleconnor. Sligo@gaa.ie and we will post it for you. Let’s pull together and raise much needed funds for this fantastic children’s charity.

Donations can be made to the GoFundMe page.
