Energia is marking the 30th year of the All Ireland League

-

RUMBLE AT HAMILTON PARK: Action from last season’s Energia All Ireland League Division 2B fixture between Sligo and Malahide in Strandhill.

TO HELP celebrate the 30th year of what is now the Energia All Ireland League – the flagship national competition for Senior rugby clubs – Sligo’s rugby community is invited to share its stories of the prestigious All Ireland League. Whether it be from 2019 or 1999, what makes the AIL special to you? Who could your club not survive without?

What is the best game you’ve ever played in or simply watched? Where did your involvement with the AIL begin?

A statement to launch this initiative said: “We all know it’s been an extremely tough year, especially for the communities that revolve around their local rugby club.”

“However, as title sponsor of the All Ireland League, Energia is hoping to bring back some positivity and celebrate this milestone with rugby clubs across the country.”

“To help celebrate, Energia and the IRFU are calling for people to share their AIL stories.”

“Energia want to capture the unique community and club stories from across the country and really tap into what the Energia All Ireland League stands for,” the statement added.

Sligo rugby folk who want to get involved can share their insights (through an online survey) at energia. eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/ SV_5nXYyXJ4jTtkc3c
