GREAT RESPONSE TO GOFUNDME FOR BALLINTOGHER CAT MILO

-

PEOPLE have responded generously to a fundraising campaign set up by Ballintogher woman to help pay for specialist medical treatment for her kitten.

Jen Jamieson reached out to the public for their help in getting her beloved kitten Milo back to health.

One-year-old Milo has been fighting a debilitating virus for most of his short life.

His condition continues to deteriorate and he needs to see a specialist for treatment. Jen says that “due to the Covid-19 landscape and everything it brings with it”, finances are tight for her right now.

In her appeal Jen says that Milo is “part of the family” and she says she will do whatever it takes to keep him healthy.

“Milo’s family miss seeing his beautiful blue eyes and his sweet little face and miss him being his happy, endearing, guileless self, “Jen says on the GoFundMe page, which she set up a week ago.

Initially the fund had a goal of €500, which was surpassed prior to Milo being brought to the specialist on Monday.

On Tuesday, Jen posted an update in which she said that it was definitely looking like Milo has a rare form of feline herpes (FHV). Thanking all who supported the GoFundMe effort, Jen said she “really misjudged how much this was all going to cost”, and is now appealing to people help her to reach a goal of €2,000.

At the time of going to press yesterday, Wednesday, 37 donors had contributed a total of €1,152.
