No goals for Kerrigan

There were no goals for Tubbercurr­y’s Liam Kerrigan (once of Sligo Rovers) as both he and his team, UCD, were held scoreless at home by

Bray Wanderers in an SSE Airtricity League First Division fixture on Friday last.

Kerrigan, who has already netted twice for UCD this season, had a shot on target in the first-half. Also in UCD’s starting team were two other ex-Sligo Rovers players, Jack Keaney and Paul Doyle. UCD host Cabinteely tomorrow, Friday.

Meanwhile, in the SSE Airtricity Women’s National League, Athlone Town, who feature a number of former Sligo Rovers U-17 players and Sligo natives, are next in action on Saturday week, April 24, when they are away to Wexford Youths Women FC.

Athlone Town’s most recent Women’s National League fixture was a 3-3 home draw with Limerick’s Treaty United. Manorhamil­ton’s Muireann Devaney started for Athlone, with Aife Haran and Roisin Molloy in the matchday squad.
