Start times confirmed for Connacht LGA club finals
THE throw-in times have been confirmed for the three Connacht LGFA provincial club finals that remained unplayed from 2020. Each of these finals involve Sligo teams – Eoghan Rua, Geevagh and St Nathy’s – with all three games at Markievicz Park on Saturday, June 19.
The day’s triple-header begins at 12 noon when Geevagh are up against Glencar-Manorhamilton from Leitrim in the Connacht LGFA Intermediate Club Championship final.
At 3.30pm west Sligo’s Eoghan Rua face Galway’s Naomh
Mhuire in the Connacht LGFA Junior Club Championship decider.
The day’s triple-header is completed by the clash of St Nathy’s and Kilkerrin-Clonberne (Galway) in the final of the Connacht LGFA Senior Club Championship. This game has a 7pm start. Each of these finals will be streamed live.
Meanwhile, in the Connacht LGFA underage championships, the Sligo U-14 team begin their provincial campaign with a home tie against Mayo on the evening of Monday, July 5.
They are then away to Galway (July 12) and Leitrim (July 19) and have home advantage for their clash with Roscommon (July 26).
The Sligo U-16 team begin their provincial season with a trip to Mayo on Friday, June 25. Next up are home fixtures against Galway (July 2) and Leitrim (July 9), with an away fixture against Roscommon in mid-July (July
16).
In the Connacht LGFA Minor Championship, Sligo take on Mayo at home on Wednesday,
July 7, followed by away games against Galway (July 14) and Leitrim (July 21). Their second home fixture in the round robin series is the hosting of Roscommon on July 28.
