Join Simon’s ‘Dip & Donate’
NORTH West Simon Community is holding a Dip & Donate challenge next month to raise funds for the early intervention and prevention service. People are being encouraged to take a dip at dawn any between June 18 and June 21. The first Dip at Dawn by North West Simon – a charity which helps those at risk of or experiencing homelessness – was organised at Rosses Point in 2019. Although the traditional dip takes place at a beach, this virtual event welcomes participants to take the plunge wherever possible – a river, a lake, even in a paddling pool in your garden.
As this is a Facebook challenge, the charity is asking you to create a Facebook Fundraiser by logging into your Facebook page. Click “Create Fundraiser” click on “Charity” in the “Who are you raising money for” section and select North West Simon Community. You can also fundraise using idonate.ie or make a donation on the website at www.northwestsimon.ie.
