TIDY TOWNS:{ Many thanks to all of the staff and management from the Diamond Coast Hotel, who came out yesterday afternoon to do a clean-up along Enniscrone beach and dunes. They picked up a considerable amount of litter and materials discarded by beach visitors over the sunny weekend.

The beach is a valuable amenity of outstanding beauty. It is of major significance to the local economy and to people of the area. We greatly appreciate the contribution made by the Diamond Coast staff in helping to keep Enniscrone beach clean. Enniscrone has produced a new sign in its ‘natural wildlife’ series about interesting things to spot on or about our seashore. There are shells, seaweeds and types of jellyfish to identify. Mammals, fish and the numerous aquatic creatures living in rock pools to try and spot. One of the new signs is located at the beach entrance by the Bellawaddy River and another is on the wall of the upper prom. We hope that the ‘natural wildlife’ series of panels are of interest to everybody. It is important that we are all aware of the rich diversity of species that live in the coastal waters and dune areas of our beautiful beach.
