20 teams taking part in Division 4 of SFL
GAA: Twenty clubs will be taking part in Division Four of this year’s Sligo Senior Football League which begins tomorrow, Friday, night.
Sligo GAA’s Competitions Control have divided the entries into three sections – Division 4A and Division 4B will each comprise of seven teams, with six teams in Division 4C. There is a round-robin format for each division. The top two in each will contest that section’s final.
The team that wins the Division 4A final will be promoted to Division 3 of the Sligo Senior Football League for 2022. The Division 4B winner moves up to Division 4A for the following season, with the Division 4C champions getting promoted to the tier above (Division
4B). The bottom team in Division 4A and Division 4B will be relegated.
Meanwhile, because of ongoing development work at St Molaise Gaels GAA Club’s main pitch at Monsignor
Hynes Park, Grange, the club will play their adult fixtures (SFL Division One and Kiernan Cup) at Oxfield Park, the home of their north Sligo neighbours Drumcliffe-Rosses Point.
St Molaise Gaels’ SFL Division 4A fixtures and underage league games will all be played at away venues.
