A good start by the lads in the first league game of 2021. It was a ding dong battle which saw Castleconnor nine up early on with the aid of a stiff breeze, but gradually the opposition took over after the water break with only three in it at half time. Conditions turned very greasy for the second half and the opposition worked their way into a lead by the water break in the second half. A strong finish by the lads with two further goals

from Stephen Rogan, including a penalty, ensured victory in the league opener. Well done to all team members and management. Team was Jack Byron, Eoghan Durkan, Barry Kilcullen, Lee Gilmartin, Cian Flynn, Pádraig Gavin, Cathal Feeney, Stephen Rogan, Darragh Flynn, Seán Donegan, Paul Ruane, Oisin Quinn, Darragh Stenson.

Subs used: Michael Sheridan, Matthew Langan, Fionn Gordon, Christopher Young.
