Hurlers wrap up campaign with a fourth victory

-

SLIGO’S Senior hurlers completed their promotion season in style last Saturday when beating Monaghan by two points, 0-21 to 0-19, at Inniskeen.

Manager Padraig Mannion, who was at the helm for last year’s Division 3B final triumph over Leitrim, opted to rejig his starting XV for the game in Monaghan.

Indeed, Sligo trailed 0-5 to 0-2 by the first-half water break and they were two points down at half-time, 0-11 to 0-9.

Among the scorers for the visitors in the first-half were Gerard O’Kelly-Lynch (0-4, all frees), Joe McHugh (0-2), Finnian Cawley and Kieran Prior.

Sligo brought on Kevin Banks and Conor Hannify for the second-half – Hannify, a
