BILL MURRAY: I’M COMING TO SLIGO!
Hollywood actor Bill Murray is coming to Sligo to play a round of golf at Enniscrone! Murray, pictured above at a Tourism Ireland photoshoot at Druids Glen, is best known for films such as Ghostbusters, Lost In Translation and Groundhog Day. He is in Ireland to to film a new season of the golf series The Links Life.
HOLLYWOOD actor Bill Murray is coming to County Sligo to play a round of golf at Enniscrone. Murray, best known for films such as Ghostbusters, Lost in Translation and Groundhog Day, is in Ireland to to film a new season of the golf series The Links Life, which will see him play on some of the country’s top golf courses.
The golf travel documentary will air on YouTube and other streaming platforms and the Ghostbusters star and his co-host, author Tom Coyne, teed off the tour at Druids Glen Golf Resort in Newtownmountkennedy, Wicklow, on Tuesday.
He will be at Enniscrone Golf Club this coming Sunday.
The 70-year-old actor, who also starred in the golf comedy movie Caddyshack, and Coyne will also play at Carton House, Carne Golf Links, Portsalon, the new St Patrick’s Links course at Rosapenna, Narin and Portnoo, Connemara, Galway Bay Golf Resort and Ballybunion.
Filming for the series is supported by Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland – who have utilised series and specials like this in media partnerships to help keep Ireland on the international tourist itinerary.
