New course starting for Ballymote groups

A NEW COURSE, ‘Innovating Communities’, will start this month and will provide various groups in Ballymote with clarity and understanding to find a common goal. Its aim is to help Ballymote town to advance and prosper which will benefit all of the community. This course is been run by Sligo Leader Partnership.

Cllr Dara Mulvey said he had raised the need for this in 2021 and tabled a motion at the recent meeting of the County Council calling for a plan of action to be put in place to engage and assist community groups in Ballymote for the purposes of community development projects to help the town.

“I would like to thank the CEO John Feerick for making contact with a number of groups and individuals to participate and I welcome the great response from participants to this course,” he said.
