It’s great to be getting back to some kind of normality and most of us have forgotten to fly! For some women flying is a total nightmare, while celebrities like Victoria Beckham breeze off their first class flight looking like they’ve stepped out of the beauty salon. Flying can be a massive stress on our skin but even if you’ll never be one of those women who removes all her make-up the moment she sits in her seat, switching up your in-flight beauty routine can make a huge difference and help you to arrive at your destination looking and feeling refreshed. With a little bit of prep you too can sashay through the airport looking as glam as the A-list!

Keep makeup to a minimum. Dye your lashes before travelling and then just curl and leave them mascara free. Dot eye cream around the eyes to prevent lines setting during the flight. Keep lips moisturised with a lip balm like AlphaH Absolut Profector which is not only deeply hydrating, but the mix of vanilla and peppermint also tastes delicious.

Throughout the flight keep your face hydrated with a face mist like AlphaH’s Instant Facial with cypress and barley. Ditch the in-flight G&T for lots of water. Experts recommend drinking at least half a litre for every hour on board. Drinking plenty of water may mean regular trips to the bathroom, but all that moving about makes deep vein thrombosis (DVT) less likely. Just make sure to book an aisle seat! Avoid salt-laden airline food, caffeine and alcohol and pack a light meal such as a chicken breast with lots of green salad, unsalted nuts and apples in a mini cold bag to keep it fresh.

Prep before a nap! Cleanse your face to get rid of the day’s grime and then apply facial cleanser like Guinot’s Hydra Fraicheur. Finish wi th a goo dh y d rating moisturiser like Guinot’s Hydra Beaute. If your skin requires something stronger than a moisturiser, a rehydrating AlphaH’s Liquid Gold 24hour Moisture Repair Cream could be your best carry on. It leaves skin glowing the next morning for a brighter, smoother complexion as soon as you awake.
