Ireland West promotion highlights ‘world-class’ Sligo to new audience

-

A NEW suite of digital content promoting Sligo as a world-class place to live, invest and visit has been unveiled at Ireland West Airport Knock.

This content includes videos and imagery of Sligo that forms part of the wider ‘Sligo: Live Invest Visit’ branding initiative.

The content will be displayed on the modern digital display screens located around the airport.

The use of digital displays at the airport allows the brand to showcase Sligo in a unique and flexible way that helps to give positive coverage of the county to a wider Irish and international audience.

Martin Lydon, Sligo County Council Chief Executive, said: “Ireland West Airport Knock is an important strategic gateway for access to Sligo and most parts of Sligo are within a 60-minute drive from the airport.

“The location of the airport supports Sligo as an attractive and welcoming destination.

“Sligo will continue to build lasting relationships with its visitors and attract those who return to the county, time and time again.

“The Sligo: Live Invest Visit videos and imagery helps to promote the collaborative spirt of the Sligo Economic Forum members, agencies and the local community working together to ensure that Sligo strengthens its position as the regional growth centre for the north-west.”

Meanwhile, Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Cllr Paul Taylor, said:“People using Ireland West Airport to come to Sligo on holiday to visit family and friends or for work and business reasons will now be met with inspiring scenes of Sligo and our ‘Live Green, Invest Smart and Visit Sustainably’ brand message as they arrive and depart the airport.

“The ‘Sligo: Live Invest Visit’ brand continues to increase awareness of all Sligo has to offer, including our tourism offering and supportive business environment.”
