Repairs needed at Sligo HSE run centre - HIQA report
A CENTRE run by the HSE outside Sligo town needs repairs and refurbishment, in particular to a main bathroom used by up to five residents in residential care there. Following an un-announced inspection at Drumniskabole Lodge carried out in June 2022, it was found that the most pressing issue related to the main bathroom at the centre, where there was a leak and the toilet was out of order. The inspector noted the floor in the bathroom was wet.
The finding was part of a HIQA report released last week following the inspection of the centre which caters for people with an intellectual disability. 6.4kms from Sligo town, residents have access to their own bedroom, some en-suite facilities, shared bathrooms, shared communal areas and large garden space.
Staff are on duty both day and night to support the residents who live at this centre.
