St Patrick’s GAA club open new stand in memory of Conor
A NEW stand opened at St Patrick’s GAA Club’s Seamie Donegan Memorial Park has been named in memory of a former player. The stand was officially opened last Saturday in a ceremony led by special guest Larry McCarthy, president of the GAA.
The stand is named in memory of Skreen native Conor Brady, who passed in 2013 while on holiday in the United States.
Conor was a talented
GAA player for club as well as county when he wore the black and white colours of Sligo at Minor and U-21 level.
Conor was also a capable rugby player, playing for Sligo RFC at various age grades.
Hundreds of St Patrick’s members and supporters turned out last Saturday to join the GAA president and Conor’s family in unveiling the stand, complete with a plaque in memory of the late Conor.
