Atlantic Technological University ATU was established in April 0 following the merger of three institutes of technology ± *alway-0ayo *0,T , Letterkenny L<,T and ,T Sligo.

Students who do not do Tuite as well in their leaving certificate mathematic e[ams as hoped can avail of a ³second chance´ opportunity to gain entry on their preferred course at Atlantic Technological University Sligo. :hile not all courses at ATU Sligo have a maths reTuirement to gain entry on the course, most engineering, science and business programmes reTuire some level of maths depending on the programme.
Two alternative independent mathematics e[aminations one set at honours level and one at ordinary level will take place on 6th September 0 at am at ATU Sligo for applicants who did the academic year from T< Taster Days, to Campus Tours, Open Days and subject-specific workshops. ATU Sligo offer a free online maths 0OOC course and past e[am papers. ,n addition, two ATU Sligo (lectronics lecturers, (va 0urphy and Sein 0ullery have produced a Free 0aths *rinds Cert +igher. Search for µ(va 0urphy 0aths *rinds¶ on 0aths is a subject that even the most capable student can struggle with. That is why, Atlantic Technological University has established the 0aths Support Centre. This innovative and friendly centre offers the supports many students need. Services include consultations, tutorials, computerbased tutorials and access to relevant te[t materials. Students can even submit maths problems for correction.
