Atlantic Technologi­cal University ATU was establishe­d in April 0 following the merger of three institutes of technology ± *alway-0ayo *0,T , Letterkenn­y L<,T and ,T Sligo.

:ith over ,000 registered students across eight campuses stretching from *alway to Donegal, the university offers 600+ academic programmes from pre-degree to doctoral level including postgradua­te, employee upskilling and apprentice­ship courses.

The largest proportion of registered students are studying courses in science, mathematic­s, computing, engineerin­g, manufactur­ing and constructi­on. Demand for courses in these discipline­s is continuing.

Students who do not do Tuite as well in their leaving certificat­e mathematic e[ams as hoped can avail of a ³second chance´ opportunit­y to gain entry on their preferred course at Atlantic Technologi­cal University Sligo. :hile not all courses at ATU Sligo have a maths reTuiremen­t to gain entry on the course, most engineerin­g, science and business programmes reTuire some level of maths depending on the programme.

Two alternativ­e independen­t mathematic­s e[aminations one set at honours level and one at ordinary level will take place on 6th September 0 at am at ATU Sligo for applicants who did the academic year from T< Taster Days, to Campus Tours, Open Days and subject-specific workshops. 0aths is a subject that even the most capable student can struggle with. That is why, Atlantic Technologi­cal University has establishe­d the 0aths Support Centre. This innovative and friendly centre offers the supports many students need. Services include consultati­ons, tutorials, computerba­sed tutorials and access to relevant te[t materials. Students can even submit maths problems for correction. Students can access these facilities on a one-to-one basis, as a small group or online.
