Assault investigation continues

A Garda investigation into an alleged assault in Sligo town is continuing.

The assault, described by some media as a sexual assault, is reported to have happened on Tuesday of last week at a house which was sealed off as gardaí carried out technical and forensic examinations.

In a statement, gardaí said investigations are ongoing into this matter.
