Green Party spokespers­on says budget is “life-changing” for many families

A CONSTITUEN­CY spokespers­on for the Green Party has described this week’s Budget 2023 details as “life-changing” for many families in the north west. Dr Bláithín Gallagher, Member of National Executive

She said it was “the most significan­t investment in early learning and childcare in Ireland in the history of the state, with an increased investment of €300m to the sector in this year’s budget.” She said, “the 25% cut to childcare fees in this year’s budget will see savings for families of up to €2100 per child.
