 ?? ?? On the weekend before last, September 17-18, the club’s Ladies Branch had its away weekend with lady captain Carol Murphy Keaveney, who brought the group to her home county of Galway. There was fantastic golf savoured at Athenry Golf Club’s parkland course in superb weather conditions. They stayed at the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry. The results of the competitio­n were as follows: 1, Maureen Gourty; 2, Breege McGoldrick; 3, Loretto Brennan; Front 9, Carol Murphy Keaveney; Back 9, Pauline Byrne; Lucky pick, Joan O’Dowd.
