Unique pairing in Sligo GAA’s Junior ‘A’ final as two second XVs seek glory
A SIGN of the respective strength and playing resources of St Molaise Gaels and Shamrock Gaels is the fact that the second XVs of both clubs will contest Sunday’s Connacht Gold Junior ‘A’ Football Championship decider (Markievicz Park, 1.30pm).
Shamrock Gaels’ first XV were beaten semi-finalists in this year’s Homeland Senior Football Championship, having given holders Tourlestrane a massive test last Sunday. St Molaise Gaels’ main team are finalists in the Connacht Gold Intermediate Football Championship and take on Easkey in the second of Sunday’s fixtures at Markievicz Park (4pm).
