Nephew dismisses new programme into death of priest who served in Sligo

A nephew of former Sligo-based priest, Fr Niall Molloy who was killed in 1985 in mysterious circumstances has criticised RTÉ Investigates programme into his death.

Prior to Tuesday’s airing of the programme RTÉ Investigates said they had obtained documents with Mr Flynn’s detailed view of events leading up to the incident, which reveal for the first time, in his own words, the extent of his assault on Fr Molloy and a possible motive for it.

Reacting to the programme, Father Molloy’s nephew Bill Maher dismissed it as “tabloid tv, total rubbish”.
