Big game for DRP
DRUMCLIFFE-Rosses Point are the third and final Sligo LGFA club to enter the provincial arena this season, with St Nathy’s (Senior) and St Mary’s (Intermediate) having already exited their respective competitions last weekend.
On Saturday, the Sligo LGFA Connacht Gold Junior ‘A’ Championship winners are away to St Croan’s (Roscommon) in the Connacht LGFA Junior Club Championship semi-final. This game takes place in Enfield, with a 1pm start.
The Tommy Oates-managed Drumcliffe-Rosses Point won the county title with a dominant display against Shamrock Gaels at Kent Park and the club’s teens won this year’s Sligo LGFA Minor ‘A’ Championship.
Saturday’s other provincial semi-final involves SalthillKnockacarra (Galway) and St Mary’s (Leitrim).
On Bank Holiday Monday, meanwhile, GlencarManorhamilton, the team that defeated St Nathy’s, are away to Mayo’s Burrishoole in the Connacht LGFA Senior Club Championship semi-final.
This Sunday, Boyle host Charlestown (Mayo) in the semi-final of the Connacht LGFA Intermiedate Club Championship. Boyle defeated St Mary’s at Kent Park last Saturday.
