Gurteen’s Roisin Molloy prepares for an FAI Women’s Cup final with Athlone Town
Sligo Rovers U-17 women’s team players currently with Athlone – the other is Manorhamilton’s Muireann Devaney. Molloy, Devaney and their team-mates have to move on from last weekend’s hurt and get ready for what is a first for Athlone, who’ve never previously qualified for an FAI Women’s Cup final. “It was disappointing last weekend but we’re still relatively happy to have finished second – if you told us at the start of the season that we would be runners-up we probably would have taken that,” said Molloy.
