Christmas ball for a good cause

STACSSU presents the Christmas College Ball taking place on Monday, December 5 in the Radisson Hotel Sligo In aid of the Strandhill Community First Responders!

Tickets are €42 and will include the following: Prosecco reception in the festively decorated Radisson Hotel lobby; Three - course meal; Late bar extension until 2am; Raffle with lots of exciting prizes; Live band and DJ to follow playing into the late hours! Attendees do not need to be from St. Angelas College so feel free to bring a plus one but please note that this is a strictly over-18’s event.

Santa visits Homeland Plus

Santa is coming to Homeland Plus Sligo on Saturday to meet with all the boys and girls from 1pm until 4pm!

Meet and greet with Santa, enjoy festive refreshmen­ts and fantastic special offers in store on the day! Children will receive a free gift from Santa

Knit night in Cliffoney

Every Tuesday evening Knit Night will take place in O’Donnells pub in Cliffoney from 7.30pm to. 9.30pm. Beat the fuel bills this winter with some new knits to keep you warm! Informal meet-up for a chat and some crafting.

All ages are welcome.

Strandhill Santa Sleigh

On Sunday, December 11, Santas sleigh will be flying around Strandhill Village sprinkling his doorstep magic to young and old. Santa and his Elves will issue a map with time slots for all his pit stops very soon.

MacSharry hosts a free night of amazing musical entertainm­ent in the beautiful surroundin­gs of Sligo Town Hall today, Thursday. Entertainm­ent will begin at 7pm with performanc­es from Seoid joined by Junior Davey and followed by the Sligo Orpheus Choir.

This is a non-ticketed, free event. Seating will be limited and on a first come basis.

Jimmy Buckley at Ocean Sands

Christmas Jumpers night at nightclub

Dig out your best (or worst) Christmas Jumper - the Garavogue Bar is hosting its annual Christmas Jumper party on Saturday, December 27.

It will be a night of all your favourite festive songs as we prepare for the last week of build-up to Christmas Day.

On Thursday, December 8, Rory and the Island will perform live in Andersons Sligo. This is part of his national Xmas tour.

A great night of original music and craic is in store. Starts at 7.30pm.

All yoga poses will be standing poses given the ground conditions.
