St Nathy’s Tractor Run

The annual St Nathy’s LGFA Club Tractor Run is back with a bang this Sunday at 11am. Tractors, cars, lorries and bikes are all welcome to take part but must be registered on the day, with registrati­on opening at 11am and the run itself beginning in Bunniadden at 12 noon. Registrati­on costs €20.

Naturally, there will be a Christmas theme for the event and those who go the extra mile may receive an award for best dressed attendee! Music and entertainm­ent provided for kids in Bunninadde­n Hall. Refreshmen­ts and raffle afterwards.

All proceeds in aid of St Nathy’s LGFA Club.

A feast of live music at Bree’s

Bree’s Bar in the Mannionsto­wn area of Strandhill is hosting a massive series of live gigs through the month of December.

The bar has confirmed there will be a livr act every night except December 12, 13, 19 and 25.

Great local acts in Lillies

Lillie’s Bar on the corner of Stephen Street and Bridge Street is currently hosting live music every single night.

This week you can still catch Duane and Luke (tonight, Thursday at 9.30pm), TLC with Tony and Luke (tomorrow, Friday at 10pm) and The Sunday Roast (Sunday at 10pm). Saturday will also feature a brand new act at 10pm.

Achonry Food Market

A food market will take place at Achonry Farmers Market on Saturday from 10am until 1pm.

Trad in McLaughlin’s

McLaughlin’s Bar on High Street in Sligo town is home to a weekly traditiona­l music session every Thursday evening.

Music gets under way at 9.30pm each week.

Market in Rathcormac

A food and craft market will take place at Rathcormac Craft Village on Saturday from 10am until 3pm.

Indoor Market in Enniscrone

The new indoor market in Enniscrone continues this Saturday at the old church building from 11am until 3pm.

Trad session in Earley’s

A trad session takes place in Earley’s Bar every Friday night.

The music gets unde way at 9.30pm.

LGBTeaQ+ Coffee meet-up

The twice monthly LBGTeaQ+ coffee meet-up takes place this Saturday, December 9 in WB’s Coffee House, Stephen Street from 11am until 1pm.

This event takes place on the second and fourth Saturday of every month and is organised by OutWest.

Sligo Park Run in Cleveragh

Sligo Park Run takes place in Cleveragh every Saturday morning at 9.30am.

This is an event designed to promote a sense of community among runners and walkers of all levels - from seasoned veterans to beginners.

Whether you are trying to improve your personal time or just there for the positive influence on your physical and mental health, are all are welcome to take part. First time runners must register via www.parkrun.ie/sligo/. Volunteers are also sought to help with the running of the event every week.

Top of the Toffs returns

Top of the Toffs is back tomorrow, Friday.

The enchanting evening begins at 7pm in The Belfry Bar with local heroes, One More Tune, setting the musical tone Groove to hits by Queen, Chic, ABBA, and beloved holiday tunes with the dynamic 4 Mile Circus Live Band.

DJ Ciaran Carty will then turn up the nostalgia, spinning the top tracks from the 80s & 90s and beyond!

Tickets are still available from www.eventbrite.ie, priced at €22.50 All funds in support of Sligo Univesity Hospital Oncology Services. Please note this is strictly an Over-23s event.

Christmas Tree festival

A Christmas Tree Festival is taking place at Drumcliffe Church today, Thursday from 2pm until 3pm.

This event has no cover charge with attendees having the option of making a donation of their choice instead.

Carols by candleligh­t

A Carols by Candleligh­t Service will be held in Sligo Methodist Church at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 20 led by Rev. Dan Randall.

Tea and coffee served afterwards. Christmas Eve service at the usual time of 10.15am, and a Christmas Day celebratio­n service at 10.15am.

A Carol Service will be held in Collooney Methodist Church on Christmas Eve at 7pm, followed by light refreshmen­ts. No service

Christmas Dinner in Manorhamil­ton

North Leitrim Men’s Shed has announced that they will be hosting a Christmas Day dinner.

This event has been organised for anyone who is isolated, alone or seeking company on Christmas Day.

This is open to both men and women.
