Santa is coming to Killenumme­ry Hall this Monday.

SANTA VISIT: CAKE SALE AND CHRISTMAS RAFFLE:

A cake sale and Coffee day will be held in Riverstown Community Hall tomorrow, Friday to pay for safety repairs completed in Riverstown Community Playground and two new pieces of equipment. Everybody welcome throughout the day to come and enjoy tea/coffee and tasty treats starting from 9.30am. In addition to delicious bakes there will also be Christmas piñatas on sale. There will be free children’s games all day and Santa Claus will visit the hall between 3pm and

4pm. The draw for the Christmas raffle will complete the day at 4pm. Please ensure you have your raffle ticket got to be in with a chance to win one of an amazing selection of prizes. Tickets are still available in all local shops. Any baked donations for the cake sale would be greatly appreciate­d and can be dropped off to the hall that morning from 8am or the previous day at Martin Baker’s Shop or Riverstown Totalhealt­h Pharmacy. Please support this fantastic facility in the heart of the village.

At the recent well attended Shamrock Gaels AGM, Chairperso­n Lauri Quinn stepped down after ten years at the helm and Andy Kearns has been elected to the position for the coming year. In accepting the position, Andy acknowledg­ed Lauri’s record as a progressiv­e chairperso­n who has seen the club go from strength to strength and he thanked him for the tremendous selfless work he has done in developing the club which he is leaving in a healthy position for the future. Carols by Candelight performed by Sligo Orpheus Choir at Holy Cross Friary Sunday, December 10 at 8pm. Cash donations welcome on the night. All proceeds will go to Focus Ireland.
