Easkey Christmas

Market will be held THIS Sunday, December 10, from 11-4pm in Easkey Community Centre. More than 35 stalls, with a bumper raffle. All proceeds to Easkey Meals on Wheels providing meals to the sick and housebound throughout West Sligo.

Indoor Hurling returns each Wednesday, at the Easkey Sports And Rec Hall (Old Factory) - u7s from 6 to 6.45pm; u9/ u11s from 6.45 to 7.30pm. Looking forward to seeing all our regulars again and new players always very welcome (helmets and hurls provided for new players, so come along and have a try)

Easkey GAA will be hosting our dinner dance on Friday, December 29 in the Ocean Sands Hotel, Enniscrone.

Due to phenomenal demand a second (and final chance) for to see Dromore West Sings will be presented on Friday, February 23, 2024. With an extremely limited number of tickets left, booking soon is advised.

Western Gaels Hurling and Camogie Club will host a new bingo game in the old Church Enniscrone every Tuesday at 8pm, doors open at 7pm. Free tea and coffee. Lines and corners €20; Full house €50; First pool €100; Second Pool €400 on 45 numbers. €20 for a double book including pool and €12 for single book including pool. Happy retirement to Seamus Feeney from the RSS in Easkey. Michael O’ Dowd RSS Supervisor presented a gift to Seamus Feeney on his Retirement from Easkey, also in attendance was Patrick Reynolds, David Igoe, Susan Finnerty, Denise O’Brien, Willaim Patterson, Stuart Brett, Tommy Coggins, Anthony Egan, Joe Colleary, Sean Gordon, Sean Cawley, Vincent Kelly, Jody Mc Gowan, David O’Malley Sligo leader and John Ferrick CEO of Sligo leader. We wish him all the best and will miss him greatly.

RETIREMENT:

Coláiste Iascaigh is hosting a 5km Sponsored Walk this Friday December 8, at 11:30pm to raise funds for the school. Sponsorshi­p card will be handed out to all students on Monday. There will be three prizes for the overall top fundraiser­s and prizes for the top fundraiser from every class. All family, friends and neighbours are welcome to join us! Our community extends our sincere sympathies to the Durkin family, Mullaun, on the passing of their sister, Mai Loughlin, in recent days. Mai passed away peacefully at her home in AnnaghHill, near Ballygluni­n in Co. Galway. She will be fondly missed by her husband Mattie, her sons Gary, David, and Aidan, her sisters, Aggie and Bernie (England), her brothers Tom, Paddy, Jimmy and Frank. May she rest in peace.
