Christmas Concert in Castle Dargan

A Christmas Concert will take place in Castle Dargan tonight, Thursday at 7.30pm in aid of North West STOP Suicide Prevetion.

Join Aoife Anderson and some wonderful guests for a night of magical music and festive treats, Tickets are €20 each and all proceeds from the tickets and the raffle on the night go to North West STOP Suicide Prevention.

There will be mulled wine, teas/ coffees and treats to get everyone into the magical mood. It is sure to be a fantastic night, with some beautifull­y gifted performers singing your favourite Christmas songs, sure to get you all in the festive spirit.

A feast of live music at Bree’s

Bree’s Bar in the Mannionsto­wn area of Strandhill is hosting a massive series of live gigs through the month of December.

The bar has confirmed there will be a livr act every night except December 19 and 25.

Christmas carols in Connolly’s

A night of festive music awaits in Thomas Connolly tomorrow, Friday night. The music begins at 5pm and will run until 6.30pm.

Achonry Food Market

A food market will take place at Achonry Farmers Market on Saturday from 10am until 1pm.

Trad in McLaughlin’s

McLaughlin’s Bar on High Street in Sligo town is home to a weekly traditiona­l music session every Thursday evening.

Music gets under way at 9.30pm each week.

Market in Rathcormac

A food and craft market will take place at Rathcormac Craft Village on Saturday from 10am until 3pm.

Indoor Market in Enniscrone

The new indoor market in Enniscrone continues this Saturday at the old church building from 11am until 3pm.

Trad session in Earley’s

A trad session takes place in Earley’s Bar every Friday night.

The music gets unde way at 9.30pm. will host a Christmas Jumper party tomorrow, Friday from 8pm. The jumpers are just a small part of plenty of festive fun and cheer in store on what promises to be a brilliant night.

Sligo Park Run in Cleveragh

Sligo Park Run takes place in Cleveragh every Saturday morning at 9.30am.

This is an event designed to promote a sense of community among runners and walkers of all levels - from seasoned veterans to beginners.

Whether you are trying to improve your personal time or just there for the positive influence on your physical and mental health, are all are welcome to take part. First time runners must register via www.parkrun.ie/sligo/. Volunteers are also sought to help with the running of the event every week.

Santa Run in Dromore West

A family fun Santa run will take place in Dromroe West this Saturday at 12 noon.

Tickets available as donation on eventbrite €5 per child, €8 per adult and €20 for a family. Registrati­on is also available on the day at Dromore West school. Refreshmen­ts served in the school after the event. A raffle will take place with some fantastic prizes.

Carols by candleligh­t

A Carols by Candleligh­t Service will be held in Sligo Methodist Church at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 20 led by Rev. Dan Randall.

Tea and coffee served afterwards. Christmas Eve service at the usual time of 10.15am, and a Christmas Day celebratio­n service at 10.15am. A Carol Service will be held in Collooney Methodist Church on Christmas Eve at 7pm, followed by light refreshmen­ts. No service on Christmas Day.

Manorhamil­ton Christmas dinner

North Leitrim Men’s Shed has announced that they will be hosting a Christmas Day dinner.

This event has been organised for anyone who is isolated, alone or seeking company on Christmas Day.

This is open to both men and women. If you are interested in attending please call 0719855347.

Christmas choir at market

The Sligo Cancer Support Choir will perform Christmas Carols and Songs at the Weekly Saturday Indoor Market in Rathcormac­k, on Saturday, with proceeds going to their own charity.
