ALL-STARS FIND FORM THANKS TO AWAY WIN
IT HAS been a frustratingly inconsistent season so far for EJ Sligo All-Stars in the Basketball Ireland InsureMyVan.ie Men’s Super League. But an excellent win away in Kerry on Saturday last, with head coach Shane O’Meara’s charges beating Flexachem KCYMS by 18 points, 94-76, was a welcome tonic.
This was only a third win in 10 competitive games and a perfect response to those back-toback defeats of recent weeks when they lost away to Templeogue and at home to Griffith College Éanna.
EJ Sligo All-Stars, who scored at least 20 points in each of the four periods, led at the end of each period (28-19, 52-38, 73-58, 94-76) and were 14 points up at half-time at the Killorglin Sports Complex. Chrishon Briggs, a recent signing and a Belfast Star player last season, bagged 36 points for EJ Sligo AllStars, with Christian Williams and Tom Child
