A Nollaig na mBanevent will take place in O’Dowd’s Lakeview Bar and Lounge in Monasterad­en this Saturday at 9pm.

The High Kings are back in for their first Sligo concert of the year on Friday, January 19 in the Sligo Park Hotel at 8pm.

Sligo Park Run in Cleveragh

Sligo Park Run takes place in Cleveragh every Saturday morning at 9.30am.

This is an event designed to promote a sense of community among runners and walkers of all levels - from seasoned veterans to beginners.

Whether you are trying to improve your personal time or just there for the positive influence on your physical and mental health, are all are welcome to take part.

First time runners must register via www.parkrun.ie/sligo/.

Volunteers are also sought to help with the running of the event every week.

When a mysterious stranger’s untimely demise occurs under their roof, Doreen hatches a daring scheme: she’ll make it seem like Peter is the one who’s passed away to cash in on a life insurance windfall.

As they navigate a web of deceit, their hidden agenda unravels amidst a cast of eccentric characters, all hungry for a slice of the pie.
